This is my marinade that has all kinds of layers of flavors: sweet, tangy and savory. They are so delicious, I will be making these wings every week for my family!

Ingredients:

500 g chicken wings and chicken drumettes

Marinade:

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 lemon juice
  • 1/8 cup fish sauce
  • 1 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce

Instruction:

  1. Pro-tip: poke chicken wings and  drumettes with a fork, so the marinade can be better absorbed.
  2. Combine marinade with wings in a large Ziploc bag. Marinate chicken with garlic powder, lemon juice, fish sauce, light soy sauce, brown sugar, vegetable oil and secret ingredient: hoisin sauce. Mix well.
  3. Pro-tip: remove as much air as possible in the Ziploc bag and seal it. Rest in the fridge overnight.
  4. Place chicken in a single layer, air fry at 400°F/200°C for 10 min, flip the chicken, air fryer again for  400°F/200°C for another 8-10 min. (depend on the sizes of the wings or until skin is golden brown.) Enjoy!
