Fresh strawberries paired with chewy boba makes the perfect combination for a refreshing drink. Not to mention brewed tea with frothed milk also elevate this drink to the next level. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

Strawberry sauce:

  • 1 lb strawberries
  • 1/4 cup of white sugar
  • 1 tbsp of freshly squeezed lemon juice

Boba Milk Tea:

  • 1 cup of dried boba balls
  • 3/4 cup of brewed green tea (chilled)
  • 3 cups of milk
  • 3 tbsp of honey

Instructions:

  1. Chop ½ of the strawberries to cook down and ½ to set aside. Pro-tip, use chopped strawberry instead of purée, because purée can become too watery and harder to thicken.
  2. Freshly squeezed lemon juice.
  3. Heat pan on medium high heat. Add chopped strawberries, sugar and lemon juice.
  4. Bring to a boil. Pro-tip: skim foam off the top. Reduce heat to medium and simmer until thicken for 10-15 min. Stirring occasionally.
  5. Wait until the strawberry sauce has cooled and store it in a sealed container in the fridge for 30 min.
  6. Boil boba according to package instructions.
  7. Froth milk with a milk frother for 20 to 45 seconds, or until you’ve reached your desired consistency. This way, the chopped fresh strawberry can stay on top.
  8. In each cup and in this order, add 1/3 strawberry sauce and 1/3 of the rest of the ingredients: cooked boba balls, honey, ice, chilled brewed green tea, frothed milk and chopped fresh strawberry.
