This healthy dish has a nutty, tangy and spicy taste. Refreshing, high protein content and affordable, try it and thank me later.

Ingredients:

  • 1 package of silken tofu or soft tofu (300g)

Sauce:

  • 2 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 1 tsp Chinese black vinegar
  • 1/2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp sugar or honey
  • 1 clove of garlic minced
  • 1/2 tbsp of chopped scallions
  • 1 tsp chili oil

Toppings:

  • 1/2 tsp sesame seeds
  • 1/2 tbsp chopped scallions
  • 1/2 tbsp wok fried chopped peanuts

Instructions:

  1. Open tofu package and carefully tilt over the sink to pour out excess liquid.
  2. Place a plate on top of the tofu and flip it to transfer it onto the plate.
  3. Soak up excess liquid with a paper towel.
  4. Pro tip: To make wok fried chopped peanuts, in a wok, add in chopped peanuts and enough oil to just cover the peanuts. Then turn on the heat to medium low. Gently and slowly push the peanuts around. There should be small bubbles forming in the oil and small popping sound from the peanuts. They should be done once that popping sound stops and the pink skins on the peanuts turn a reddish brown. Turn off the heat.
  5. Combine all sauce ingredients in a bowl, pour it over the tofu, add toppings, and enjoy!
